Ben Braxton is one of the founding partners of Braxton & Holway, P.A. and has been with the firm since inception in 1983. Mr. Braxton has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida since 1976.
In addition to providing tax, accounting and business services, Mr. Braxton specializes in accounting services as it relates to Common Interest Realty Associations (CIRA's). This specialization encompasses over 20 years of experience in providing tax and auditing services for local CIRA's and their compliance with applicable Florida Statutes.
Mr. Braxton is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). In the past he has also served on the board of directors for several local not-for-profit organizations such as Manatee Youth For Christ, Inc. and Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Braxton is a graduate of the Univeristy of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida where he received his B.S. in Marketing in 1969, his B.A. in Accounting in 1974, and his M.B.A. in 1975.
Prior to his founding of the firm, Mr. Braxton served as a Junior Officer in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1973 and also served as the Chief Accountant of Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida from 1975 to 1983.
Mr. Braxton and his wife Marilyn have lived in Bradenton since 1975 and have two daughters and a son. He enjoys spending time and relaxing with his family at their riverhouse in Yankeetown, Florida. He also is an avid Florida State Seminole football fan.
